Gifts of Intuition

Rooted in the ancient wisdom of indigenous values and the rich cultural practices of global majority communities (often referred to as “minority cultures” in dominant Western narratives), we find profound insight into how we understand the world and ourselves. Our cultures, steeped in a deep reverence for nature, the unseen, and the interconnectedness of all life, offer us a timeless guide for healing, self-awareness, and spiritual growth. It is through these lenses that many of our families’ beliefs, rituals, and practices are passed down, shaping how we engage with the world around us and with each other, whether consciously or unconsciously.
In my work with clients, my focus can be on helping you reconnect with your own innate gifts of intuition and healing. These gifts, often deeply rooted in the body and mind, can provide profound insight and clarity. Yet, in modern society, they are frequently undervalued, dismissed as “witchy” or relegated to the realm of “woo-woo”—labels that dismiss the power of inner wisdom simply because it cannot always be scientifically measured or rationalized

Many of us have been conditioned to distrust our intuition. Whether through formal education, which prioritizes science and facts, or through societal norms that elevate logic and reason while dismissing the intangible, we may come to believe that what cannot be quantified is unreliable or unimportant. Higher education often teaches us that only what can be observed or proven in a lab is valuable, while the subtle, invisible energies that guide us—our instincts, emotions, inner knowing, and collective wisdoms—are seen as secondary, or even irrational.

On top of that, many of us carry experiences or traumas that have caused us to distrust our own inner voices. Perhaps we were taught to ignore our bodies’ signals, to suppress our emotions, or to ignore the quiet whispers of intuition in favor of more “practical” solutions. Over time, this can lead to a disconnect between ourselves and our own deep knowing. It can feel as though our internal compass has become clouded or unreliable.
Together, we can begin to heal this disconnect. Through a gentle, compassionate process of reawakening, I support you in rediscovering the power of your internal voice. We’ll work to clear the mental and emotional blockages that have been keeping you from trusting your own instincts and wisdom. As we honor the ancient truths that lie within you, you will gain the confidence to trust your intuition once more, to empower yourself with the gifts that have always been there, waiting to be acknowledged and embraced. This process is not about making you into someone you’re not; rather, it’s about guiding you back to the core of who you truly are—whole, powerful, and attuned to the subtle energies of your own being.

I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Carmen Lewis’ work with our clients. As an Immigration Attorney, for cases that involve hardship and past persecution, I refer clients to a psychologist to be evaluated for past trauma. Oftentimes identifying this past trauma and how it presently affects them is essential for their immigration case. And my clients’ experiences with Dr. Lewis have been wonderful. I would not refer them to anyone else.
